Where Our Flowers Can Bloom: A Celeb And Alec Peice
Ah, it's late, I haven't slept, and what do I do?
Right a story that's been eating my brain.
This is based after the roleplay I'm conducting with Meagen, and the other short peice I wrote :Setting The Stage
This takes place about 3 or 4 months after the first peice, and shows a bonding moment between Celeb and Alec, expanding on an idea Meagen and I have discussed before, but have yet to bring into our roleplay. Anyways, comments would be appriciated, as I tried a slightly different writing scheme this time
Where Our Flowers Can Bloom

Celeb sighed softly as she headed outside into their backyard, her tail swinging behind her freely. She was wearing a loose t-shirt and a pair of worn jeans, a contrast to the usual spandex and armor she wore. However, she was not in the mood for training right now, in fact, she had another activity in mind for the day. Her silver eyes surveyed the area for a moment, as if to make sure that no one else was watching her.
Slowly, she made her way to a plot of soil and needed down next to it. In her slender hands she had been holding a bag of gardening tools, which she now opened. Yes, the violent warrior chick was planning on gardening, but there was a reason behind it. There was a reason behind almost everything she did, even if she didn’t often explain what those reasons were.
Humming to herself softly, she began to dig into the fertile soil, pulling out the weeds that had overtaken the land. Obviously, no one had tried planting anything here in a very long time. Then again, the place had seemed like it had been long abandoned when she and Alec had moved in, so it was not surprising.
“You’re just full of surprises, aren’t you?” a voice called behind her. Celeb whipped her head around, her eyes widening as she noticed the young Ryuten behind her. “What are you doing here, I thought you had meetings all day?” Alec shrugged, lifting his hand to readjust his glasses slightly. “Well, they were canceled, apparently they forgot it was some Neko-jin holiday or something…. When did you learn how to garden?”
For some reason his question annoyed her, but it made enough sense. She had spent most of her life in a cell, and before that, a palace. It would be unusual, to say the least, to expect her to know something like this. But Celeb was not always what one would expect her to be.
When she had first came to here with the scientist, she would have refused to answer him. He had been the son of her rapist, so it was sufficient to say, she had been suspicious of him. Alec himself had just been afraid, as she kept threatening body parts, particularly vital ones. Somewhere during their time together, however, they had begun to slowly trust one another, and even become of friends, in a weird sort of way. So she decided to actually open up to him for him.
Placing her tools down Celeb sat down more comfortably in the dirt, patting the ground next to her, as if to signal to Alec to do the same. He complied. Celeb’s chest rose and then fell, almost dramatically as she then began to speak.
“There was a woman, I think she was high ranking, though I never found out, on Ryuten who used to come visit me. The only female Ryuten I ever spotted there. She had the most beautiful long blonde hair, which she would keep in a braid, large, fiery red wings, and eyes that were the bluest I’ve ever seen, except maybe yours.” Alec blushed slightly at that, which made Celeb chuckle softly before continuing. “She thought it was horribly that such a young girl would be locked up by herself, so she would frequently break the codes and free me. She would take me to her garden, so I could have some time to myself before I was tested on again. It was there that I met the only friend I remember having as a child.”
Alec was intrigued by this point to say the very least. The description of the woman in Celeb’s story fit his mother almost perfectly. She had had a beautiful garden, and he remembered playing it with a small girl. Could it have been Celeb?
The silver-eyed warrior continued her story, “I think I remember their names, her name was Melora, and her son…I think she used to call him Alexander.”
Alexander. His full name.
Needless to say, Alec felt that this piece of information was worth interrupting her, “Melora was my mother. I was..I mean, am Alexander, she always insisted on calling me by my first name. You were that little girl? But how could you be? She had brown eyes”
Celeb snarled slightly at that, looking at him with a mixture of anger and pain, “Well, that was before my genetics were fucked with!”
Alec winced at her tone before lowering his head, muttering the words. “Right…I’m sorry, continue.”
“What’s more to say? You were the there after all. She had begun to teach me how to garden when she disappeared. I took the liberty on reading up on it and learning how to do it on my own in memory of her.”
“That’s-that’s very kind of you,” Alec choked out, trying not to look sad. He missed his mother, it had been years since she had been murdered, but sometimes, that event would still plague his memories.
He was soon snapped out of his thoughts as Celeb began to speak again, “I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately…I guess that’s why I came out here. She used to tell me that no matter how bad things are, there’s always a place where the flowers will bloom. That there’s always beauty in the darkness. It seems like such a neive notion…yet I can’t help but hope it’s true.”
Alec smiled, picking up a tool as he sat down next to her and began to pull at weeds as well. “I think it is….so let’s make this a place where our flowers can bloom alright?” A little corny? Maybe. But it seemed just right.
And it was, because it managed to make Celeb smile before she silently went back to work. Alec grinned to himself as the two worked silently, side by side. Talking to Celeb was always an interesting time. He couldn’t wait but see what kind of flowers they’d make bloom. Maybe together, they could sprout against the darkness. After all, Celeb was the same girl he had such a childhood crush on. So anything was possible, right?
Right.
