Cold Water

Weird things get written when it's 6:08 in the morning and you still can't sleep
Anyways, here's my newest poem
Definetly not my best work...

Cold Water
So many times have I been here
So many times have I wanted to give up
But I won’t
Not this time
This water is cold
And it runs everywhere inside me
But I have a fire burning deep inside my soul
That your cold hands can’t touch
I will survival; I will overcome
And for a moment, I may even live
I am not the weak girl now
I have set aside my blades
So I cry, what’s wrong with that?
At least I’m not afraid to feel
And though you are dark and lonely
And the most powerful thing I have ever met
I will beat you
You won’t have me this time
Because I’m down to my last threads
And I’ve gotta keep my head out of the water
Cause if I give into you again
I’m gonna surely drown…
I'm gonna drown inside this cold water
That's why I must get out
I gotta get out of this cold water...
