It's Alright Cause There's Beauty In The Breakdown
Okay, so I go to the movies all the time right, but rarely does a movie touch me this deeply
Well, tonight was different
So, without further ado, here is a mini-review of the movie I saw:
Garden State:
What an awesome movie. I went to see it for one reason, Zach Braff. I am addicted to the show Scrubs, it's so funny! As this was his first drama, and he wrote and directed it, I had to check it out.
IT BLEW ME AWAY
Very few movies make me cry, it's a really hard thing for me to do, no matter how much I sympathize or mourn characters
I think the last one I cried in was Eternal Sunshine on The Spotless Mind
This movie had me bawling at several parts
The characters were just so real, and there was stuff in there just hit so close to home, espically with the conflicts involving Andrew, the main character. That scene where he looks into his medicine cabinet and sees bottles upon bottles of meds and just shakes his head and closes it back up? Very relatable, and that's just the beginning.
And even characters who seem sleasy are revealed to still have human sides
And and...
I dunno, I just adored it
I will also buy it when it comes on DVD
And I want the soundtrack!
The music was awesome!
It even used one of my favorite songs of the moment, Let Go by Frou Frou
Friggin awesome....
Speaking of songs, as I'm musically obbessed and am starting to feel weird just wasting entries on lyrics I have worked out something
I will post a song with each entry (more or less) and highlight the lyrics that stand out to me the most
