Wee, I had Meagen over from Friday-Saturday
Which explains why I didn't post..
well, that and laziness ^_^;;
Anyways, we didn't do a whole lot...
mostly just hung out and watched movies
and now for...
special movie review time! =D
Trainspotting: First of all: I am not an Ewan fangirl! I think he is a very good actor, but I do not find him actractive...espically in this movie. Addiction is not pretty, and this movie definetly portrays that. The acting in it was suberb...most of the characters kinda pissed me off, cept Spud. I just pitited him, he had nobody. Tommy I pitied too..but mostly just Spud...
Edward Scissorhands: I've seen this movie millions upon billions of times, but I shall always love it. Why? Because it's such a classic tragic fairytale in it. And Johnny Depp's performance in this is one of his most memeorable...I just wanted to reach out and hug edward, I felt so bad for him. People judged him becuase he was different, even though he wouldn't of hurt a fly. But they kept pushing and pushing him, corrupting his pureness until he was no longer the same...And while she got to go on and live and remember it fondly...he had to stay up in that house all alone...forever...
What's eating gilbert grape: another tear jerker, another amazing performance by Johnny Depp. I had seen it before but I had been to little to truly understand it. By the by...anyone who thinks Leonardo Di Caprio can't act: watch this movie. I am not a fangirl of his, but I think there is an unfair biast against him held by many. He is a good actor. No bad actor could pull off a mentally disabled kid the way he did.
Nick of Time: Seeing a trend here? Yes, I am a Johnny Depp fan. He's an excelent actor, I have yet to see something of his that I haven't liked. Plus Christopher Walken was in this, and he's a great actor too..though his char was super duper creepy...this movie was done in "real time", which I found to be an interesting concept..
and finally..
Eye of the beholder: Another Ewan movie, since Meagen is a Ewan fangirl..This movie was just...trippy, it made little to no sense..I kept getting confused about was happening and how the characters were connected...It seemed good, but wouldof been better if it had made more sense..
