Another Celeb ficlet, mostly just foccuses on her this time, though Alec does show up in the end
This has to deal with how Celeb deals with the death of Tassyr, who was mentor/father figure to her
By this point in the continuity, Celeb and Alec have gotten back together, the war has happened, and the ever so evil Dr. Flare is dead
Any questions can be directed to me.
Celeb as always belongs to me, Alec and Tassyr belong to Meagen, and the races and worlds involved belong to us both

It was a cold, breezy day when she went to visit his grave, despite it being in the middle of the summer. The chill was a welcome change from the overwhelming heat that usually surrounded Feralis, it reminded her of the cool weather of her home planet, Sapia.

Celeb would have come sooner, but after war suddenly launched itself, there simply had not been the time to do so. Because of these circumstances, she had not been to visit Tassyr’s grave since the day of his funeral, and that had been several months ago now. But still, it was better to be late then to never come at all.

She was on her own for this, not because she had to be, but because she choose to. Though she had finally admitted that she was in love with Alec, she still had a very hard time expressing her feelings in front of him, or anyone else for that matter. And now without impending doom waving itself over their heads, it was easier then ever to fall into old habits, keeping things to herself.

Of course, if Tassyr were here, he’d probably whack her over the head for doing so.

But, he wasn’t. He was dead. It was sad, he had rescued Leo, raised him and took care of him, and how did the young Ryuten repay him? By killing him. It disgusted Celeb, to this day, to even think about it. Her stomach churned at the images of Tassyr’s dead body on the floor, gray hair stained with his own blood. Though she never spoke to anyone of what she had seen there, the images had played themselves through her head more then once.

As she approached the grave, she took a deep breath, brushing one hand against her stray hair, trying to tuck it behind her ear, but to no avail. The wind was too rebellious today. Her other hand held a bouquet of flowers, lilies to be exact. For some reason, the white blooms seemed like the perfect fit for the old man’s grave.

For Alec’s sake more than anything else, the Sapian princess had kept most of her grief to herself. After all, Tassyr had been his mentor, the only father figure he could ever respect. Surely, the Ryuten had more claim to his memory then she did.

She bent down, laying the lilies on the elderly Ryuten’s grave, closing her eyes tightly as she did so. Hear, by her lonesome, she was not afraid to let a few tears escape her closed lids. She missed him. The Old Man, as she had always so affectionately referred him as, had always had the best advice for her and anyone else who needed it. She had no doubt that he was one of the main forces that helped her and Alec reconcile.

It seemed bizarre that suddenly he was gone.

It seemed like forever that she sat there, crouched over the grave, crying, until she felt a hand on her shoulders. Almost immediately, her mask was up again, and the tears stopped. She slowly turned her head to look up at whoever had broken her private moment.

It was Alec.

“Are you alright?” His voice was soft, and full of concern, like it almost always was. Celeb did not even bother asking how he knew where she went. It did not matter, really. Part of her was sort of glad really.

“I..I miss him Alec. A lot” she replied after a long pause.

“I know,” he replied, wrapping his arms to pull her into a warm embrace from behind. “I know…so do I…”

And in that moment, Celeb could have sworn she saw Tassyr smile down on them.
