desertions | (no subject)

My grandma made me hot lemonade for my throat

...Nobody's done that for me since Grandpa died.

I always miss him the most when I'm sick
He was always the one who took care of me when I was little

I remember one time, about six months before he died, I had a really bad sore throat/sinus infection
And he took Dial-A-Ride to the the store just to buy lemons to make me hot lemonade.

And then once, when I was about seven, I got sick at school
And since he couldn't pick me up right away, I ended up going to my grandma's office for a while
Cause it was really close to the school
He ended up picking me up around 7 at night
He asked me where I wanted to eat
I thought it was morning, so I told him IHOP
About halfway through my pancakes I looked outside and asked him why it was so dark for the morning
He just laughed and told me it was 7 at night
And then we went back to pancakes

And when I got the Chickenpox while we were in Yosemite (Worst time to get em)
He bought a bunch of videos for me and stayed in the RV with me to watch them
Even though he had never gotten the Chickenpox, and was putting himself in danger.

I miss him so much ;_;
