Drabble: Saiyuki: A Good Birthday

Title: A Good Birthday

Summary: Gojyo never had a good birthday before, but this one looks a lot more promising…

Birthdays had never been good for Gojyo. The best ones were the ones where his mother was so out of it that she did not realize what day it was. The worst one….

 

Well, that had come one year when Jien decided he was going to try to sneak Gojyo a small present. After all, five was a big birthday and it seemed wrong that he never got anything for it. So that year, Jien had sneaked in a small toy truck for him. But their mother eventually caught Gojyo playing it, and what’s more, noticed the color of the truck.

 

It was a bright, shiny red.

 

Jien had to practically pry her off of Gojyo and took her into the bedroom to distract her. Gojyo was left to clean off his own wounds until whenever his brother could come back.

 

After that, Gojyo never wished for a birthday present. It caused too much problems.

 

Needless to say, he wasn’t expecting anything when he came home from a particularly rough night of gambling and drinking.

 

He didn’t know what the bigger surprise was: the fact that Hakkai actually took the cake to the bed with him or that Hakkai was naked with the cake in the bed.

 

A lecherous grin spread across his lips as he made his way to the bed, undressing as he did so.

 

Maybe he’d have a good birthday for once afterall.
